The Travellers' Club - Special Interest ToursWe are proud of our very close association with The Travellers' Club, which goes back over twenty years. Between us we organise some 20 tours for small companionable groups of like-minded travellers who share an interest in the sites and places we visit. These are particularly fascinating trips - do take time to have a look at the selection on offer. Planned and Escorted by Experts! Each tour is planned by an expert in the subject to make the most of the itinerary, whilst allowing enough time for a proper look at sites at a relaxed pace. This expert will escort the group and his or her knowledge will add more interest and depth to the trip. Each expert is specifically chosen for their experience, resourcefulness and flexibility. Where do we go?Areas visited are very varied, from a week in Ravenna and Venice looking at Byzantine and Renaissance Art to two weeks in Iran visiting the treasures of Ancient Persia and modern Iran. Or perhaps the History, Music and Art tour to Talinn, St. Petersburg and Riga in association with the Rossica Choir, is more to your taste. You will find a full list of tours here with more detail on the following pages. We will continue to display some of the tours from ealier in the year - until 2009 tours are finalised - this will enable you to see some other examples. New ToursNew tours are always being devised - for example this year Jordan and Syria have been added for October - subtitled Crusaders, traders, souqs and khans this is a varied itinerary that includes Amman, Madaba, Mount Nebo, the Dead Sea and much more. Old favourites continue, for example a month visiting Rajasthan and Moghul India in February takes place most years. Tours for 2009 will be added to this site shortly - so do check again soon as we have some exciting new ones planned. If it is not here we can tailor a trip for youWe tailor-make tours for groups from Museums and Galleries, History and Fine Art Societies to visit art and architectural sites in Europe and beyond.
“It was great fun and a fascinating insight into Central India, where for the most part, we saw no other tourists. The organisation went very well…Of course Richard Hunt is a great tour leader/ guide, he really is a fund of knowledge and so amusing at the same time…It all made for a very successful and enjoyable four weeks”.Comments from a guest on the Central India Tour January 2008. |
